So here's a little story about my day:
This morning I slept in a little so I couldn't go on my laptop before school, like I usually do for half an hour. I had to go out after school for a few hours and when I finally turned on my computer at 8pm tonight, I scrolled through my blog feed and found out I'd missed the cover reveal of one of my most anticipated books of 2014.
When I scrolled down the posts and seen the cover I fangirled.
Here is a gif representation of my reactions:
I am in love with the cover so so so much!
I've heard a lot of people say they don't like it because it's too "simple" and not as beautiful or exciting as the other covers. I disagree.
I think that the plot of this book alone will make up 100% for any of you who think the cover isn't as exciting.
Maybe the designer felt that the cover needed to be simplistic because of the wedding theme to the cover. A wedding is simple and personal. The dress is so gorgeous and I really like the pose of the model with the hint of a cheeky smile. I hope that America's maids made the dress for her because I love them so much!
Also, this is something I've not heard anyone say yet, the colours of each book are - Blue, Red and White.....You Know what else is blue, red and white ? :
The flag of America - get it? AMERICA !!! I think that if that is the reason they've done that then it is so clever and awesome!
I am indescribably excited for this novel and I cannot wait to see who America chooses........fingers crossed for Maxon though!
I am going to be fangirling all day about this so please check out my reviews of The Selection, the first book, and The Elite, the sequel .
How do you feel about the cover? What do you like / dislike?
How do you feel about the trilogy ending?
Let me know in the comments!
I have heard the color thing before. But I like how feisty she looks in this cover. I almost thought it was a different girl. I am so excited!
