Like This Book? You'll Love This
Hi everyone! So I asked you guys on Twitter to choose my next blog post and this is the one that the majority of you wanted to see.
So I thought I would do a recommendation post with a twist. I will show you a popular, well known novel and then if you enjoyed that novel, I believe that you will also like my recommendation.
I hope this points you in the direction of some good books you may have not heard of!
Like The Selection? LOVE The Luxe series by Anna Godberson!
If you enjoyed the balls, dresses and secrets of The Selection series - you are going to love The Luxe series.
The Luxe is set in Manhattan, 1899 where sisters Elizabeth and Dianna Holland rule the social scene. When their status as social elites comes into question, there are many who would benefit from their misfortune. Forbidden romance, secrets, balls, dashing men and mind blowing plot twists will keep you hooked!
Like The Georgia Nicholson series by Louise Rennison? LOVE the Rachel Riley series by Joanna Nadin!
If you enjoyed the hilarious diary entries, the boy trouble, great gang of friends and entertaining antics of Georgia you will LOVE Rachel Rileys!
The Rachel Riley series tells the story of teenage protagonist Rachel Riley a drama queen with a crazy family, funny group of friends and always ends up in crazy situations. This series will keep you entertained and laughing till the very end.
Like City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare? You will LOVE The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon!
If you enjoyed the high-fantasy, vivid setting and page turning aspects of City of Bones then I think you will really enjoy The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon.
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon is about Paige, a clairvoyant "dream walker", who works from the criminal underground of Scion London. Kidnapped and taken to a camp where she is enslaved by the Rephaim aliens she must try to plan her escape.
Like Wonder by RJ Palacio? You'll LOVE Dead Ends by Erin Jade Lange.
If you enjoyed reading about the life of Auggie and his friends, another diverse novel you will enjoy is Dead Ends by Erin Jade Lange.
Dead Ends follows Dane, a boy one problem away from being expelled from school, and Billy D, a kind boy with downs syndrome, who form an unlikely and incredibly strong friendship and go on a search for Billy D's father.
Like The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky? You'll love Am I Normal Yet? by Holly Bourne!
If you enjoyed the themes of new found friendship, mental illness and realistic portrayal of teenagers in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, you will really enjoy Am I Normal Yet?.
Am I Normal Yet? follows Evie a girl who is now off her medication and starting college where no one knows about her mental illness. Evie just wants to be normal. She goes to parties, makes new friends and meets boys. The novel portrays her life with her mental illness and makes you question what is "normal" anyway?
That is all for this weeks post. Please comment below if you enjoyed this post, if you have read any of these novels or if you have any blog posts that you would like to see me do!
